In this Table Talk, Nancy Yuen and Dean Yamada discuss the lack of diversity in Hollywood. In the first part of the discussion, Nancy covers the different financial reasons Hollywood uses to justify the lack of women and people of color in leading roles in film and television.  She then proceeds to debunk each of these, as well as explain the negative consequences of not having women and people of color in film and television.

Dean Yamada continues the discussion by giving an overview of his own personal experience as a filmmaker of Asian descent.  He details the obstacles he has faced, as well as highlights how creating a film is not just a creative experience, but a spiritual one as well.

This Table Talk is from the Christianity and the Arts series.
